2025 WINNER · Best mental health and wellbeing initiative in Saudi Arabia

HayatX’s winning entry focused on making wellbeing engagement part of a regular routine. Its digital approach offered simple ways to check in, use short exercises and return to support over time.

What they did

The platform combined mood logging and breathing exercises with engagement features and rewards. Its xCoins system was designed to encourage participation, while the experience gave people several ways to interact with wellbeing resources.

The submission treated accessibility and repeated use as important parts of the design. Rather than requiring a long session every time, the tools could be used through smaller moments of engagement.

What the entry shows

The entry reported more than 50,000 mood logs and almost 10,000 breathing exercises, with an average of 14.8 mood logs per user. It also reported satisfaction of 89.95%.

Those figures demonstrate recorded activity and user feedback. They should not be read as a count of people whose mental health improved, or as clinical evidence that the tools caused an improvement.

What others can learn

Small, accessible actions can help create a habit of paying attention to wellbeing. Measuring repeat engagement provides useful information about whether people return to a service.

The next question for any programme is what people find useful and how engagement connects with appropriate support when their needs become more complex.
