How Neuropower World turned neuroinclusion into practical workplace action

2025 WINNER · ESG supporting mental health
Neuropower World’s winning entry connected awareness of neurodiversity with changes to hiring, leadership and opportunity. Its approach organised the work around three stages: enlighten, encourage and empower.
What they did
The programme combined workplace audits and leadership workshops with mentoring, reverse mentoring and routes into work. These activities gave organisations a way to examine their practices and gave participants a role in shaping the conversation.
Public education and podcast conversations extended the discussion, while mentoring and placements connected it to practical experience. The focus was on helping organisations move from understanding difference to making participation more possible.
What the entry shows
The entry reported training more than 1,500 professionals, delivering over 200 mentoring hours and supporting more than 40 placements. It also reported that three companies had made policy changes.
These are concrete measures of activity and organisational action. The submission also described increased confidence among participating organisations in hiring neurodivergent talent; it did not establish long-term employment outcomes for every participant.
What others can learn
Awareness has more value when it leads to a decision someone can change: how a role is advertised, how a candidate is assessed or how a manager supports different ways of working.
Neuropower World’s example links learning with mentoring and workplace practice, creating several points where inclusion can become tangible.
