How Wellbeing Leaders supports the people leading workplace wellbeing

2025 WINNER · Advocate
Who supports the people responsible for supporting everyone else? Wellbeing Leaders puts that question at the centre of its work. Its 2025 mentl awards entry described a community for HR and wellbeing leaders across the UAE.
What they did
Co-founded by Charlotte Stebbing-Mills and Sam Harvey, Wellbeing Leaders combines peer support with practical approaches to organisational change. Its focus is the mental health of the people leading workplace wellbeing, alongside their ability to influence the systems around them.
The community creates a space for leaders to connect around shared challenges. The original submission describes three connected priorities: peer support, systemic strategies and wellbeing leadership.
The approach behind the recognition
The entry makes a clear distinction between providing activities for employees and supporting the people responsible for shaping that provision. Wellbeing leaders need support of their own, as well as opportunities to consider how organisational practices affect the people they serve.
This profile draws on the entrant’s 2025 programme summary. It describes the approach rather than claiming a measured reduction in stress or a quantified organisational outcome.
What others can learn
A wellbeing strategy should include the people delivering it. Peer connection can offer a place to share challenges and learning, while a focus on organisational systems keeps the conversation connected to how work is designed and led.
Wellbeing Leaders’ example invites employers to ask a practical question: what support is available to the people carrying responsibility for everyone else’s wellbeing?
