Selfish, lazy, entitled? How to help Gen Z enter the workplace
Recent research by Cigna revealed that Gen Z is currently the most stressed generation in the workplace, with 98 percent in the UAE, and 95 percent globally suffering.
Mentl’s recent article discussing the modern-day employment inferno facing Gen Zs drew supportive comments, but equally a number of firmly-held opposite views, including words such as ‘selfish, entitled, spoiled, lazy’ and more beside.
For a balanced, more academic view ‘the mentl space’ took a deep dive into the issue with Dr Zoë Fortune, adjunct assistant professor at Hong Kong University and partner at Minds Matter DXB, at the Wellbeing at Work Summit Middle East.
Dr Fortune has been leading research which reveals a disconnect between what is happening at university and what the world of work needs or expects.
